Queen Elizabeth II is not only in love with corgis! If you thought that Queen Elizabeth strictly only owns corgis, you are wrong. But, corgis are the dog of the royal monarchy. In fact, three of her corgis had a part of the opening ceremony at the London Olympics back in 2012. Three other cool facts to know about the Queen's corgis are:
I got my information from the book Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family
- Her love of corgis began as a child when her dad, George VI bought the family a corgi named Dookie.
- Most of her corgis common ancestor is Susan, who was the Queen's eighteenth birthday present.
- Susan the corgi came with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on their honeymoon.
