Princesses Grace and Margaret and Photos

Taking a picture of a person is already a difficult task, but Princess Grace of Monaco has been called by a royal photographer "the most difficult royal I ever photographed," Apparently Princess Grace only agreed to let him have a private audience with her because he had a private audience with the Queen. She was described as haughty, arrogant, and awkward towards him. On the other hand, the same photographer has said that Princess Margaret was his favorite royal to photograph. He called her the Diana of her day, and it was true. She, in my own opinion was always in beautiful outfits. The photographer also noted that she had "beautiful azure eyes". The photographer shares a story in which he was invited to Windsor Castle to do a photograph of the royal family. He had wanted to do a picture of the family sitting on the grass, but it was wet. The only thing he could find for them to sit on was a Persian rug. When the Queen's husband Prince Philip saw the ru

Louis Mountbatten: How He Made Today's Royals

Louis Mountbatten was the man who made the royal family we have today. Since the time that it was determined that Princess Elizabeth would be the future queen, Louis Mountbatten made sure that his nephew Prince Philip, spent as much time with her as possible. When the royal family went to visit the navel academy that Prince Philip was attending, he arranged that he met with Princess Elizabeth. He continued to push the two together, and yes, they fell in love. The royal family, however was not happy with Prince Philip and Princess Elizabeth's romance because of his family's German connections. A few of his sisters were married to Nazis and even though he fought against them, the royal family did not want their daughter to be married to a man of German descent. Louis Mountbatten who Prince Philip called Dickie made sure to inform the royals that even though he was of German and also Greek descent, he did not speak the language and was a British citizen. Eventually Prince Philip a

Prince Charles, Diana, and Camilla

Charles had been dating Camilla Parker Bowles (his second wife) long before he met Diana. He then broke up with her and married Diana. The trouble in their marriage started on their honeymoon, on the HMS Britannia. Prince Charles spent most of his time on the honeymoon alone painting watercolors. This made Diana so mad she destroyed his painting equipment so he could no longer paint. Another time that Charles damaged their relationship was when they were talking about their schedules, and then it happened. A picture of Camilla fell out of his diary. After the diary incident, Diana noticed Prince Charles wearing cufflinks  C's on them, which Diana interpreted to mean Prince Charles and Camilla. Eventually Charles and Diana got divorced and Prince Charles married Camilla, who had also had a divorce. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, An Airline Pilot!!!

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands used to not only carry out his royal duties, but also was a guest pilot on KLM's Fokker 70 planes and way before that on a Dutch plane called  Martinair. Twice a month, the king would fly as a guest pilot. It was just a fun hobby that he took part in twice a month that he did for twenty one years. But it makes you wonder "Was a royal the pilot on any of the plane rides I've been on?" Who knows what other interesting part time jobs royals around the world hold. What if you have been in the same room as a royal and you did not even know it? Royal Twins and American Royals

Did you know that there are so many twins in royal history? A few twin royals today are Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock of Monaco's two year old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. Another set of twins are Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark's six year old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. Even the British Royal Family's Autumn Kelly, wife of Peter Phillips has a twin brother Christopher Kelly Did you also know that Meghan Markle is not the first American to date a royal? Plenty of Americans have become royals! For instance, Wallis Simpson married Prince Edward, who became the King of England, then abdicated to be with Wallis, and is the reason that Queen Elizabeth is Queen. Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Christopher O'Neill who has American citizenship married Princess Madeleine of Sweden.   Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III Photo by Robert LeRoy Knudsen

The Epic Almost Fall of Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

The British Royals, just like everybody, some time in their lives, trip. At the Royal Ascot, on the first day, Sophie, Countess of Wessex was getting out of her seat in the carriage, had a clumsy moment and almost fell out of the carriage. She would have fallen out of the carriage if the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, had not been there to catch her. The look on their faces as Kate catches Sophie of Wessex is truly amazing and you can see the picture on People Magazine's coverage of the event (Link at the bottom of the article). Luckily nobody was hurt, and nobody fell out of the carriage. http://people.com/royals/princess-kate-to-the-rescue-we-explain-whats-happening-in-this-omg-worthy-photo/
