Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth!

Today is Queen Elizabeth's 93rd birthday. She is already the longest reigning monarch of Britain, and has been married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh for over 70 years.

Queen Elizabeth was born in London on this day 93 years ago, to the then Duke and Duchess of York Albert and Elizabeth. When her uncle abdicated the throne and her father became King George VI, she became the heir to the throne. She married Prince Philip in 1947, and they have four children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Edward. She also has eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Queen Elizabeth has had a lifelong love of horses and corgis as well as having created dorgis, which are corgi dachshund mix.

I personally hope that Queen Elizabeth has a wonderful birthday that she gets to celebrate how she wishes.

The Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!

First things first, Meghan's dress was gorgeous. It was simple, elegant, and stunning. The second thing is, the fasinators were amazing! But, before I get into that, let's start at the beginning. This is how I viewed the wedding. 4:00 am - Turned on the television. At this point, people had not started to arrive yet, and it was mainly reporters speculating about Meghan's dress. 4:30 to 5:00 am - People started to come, mainly aristocrats, Hollywood stars, and friends of Harry and Meghan, including Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, and Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy. Reporters also interviewed people who had charities that Harry and Meghan supported. Sometime after that, (I lost track of the time,) some more celebrities and aristocrats came, including the Middletons, the Beckhams and the Clooneys, as well as some more actresses. Royal Wedding Traditions

Royals love tradition, and royal weddings are the perfect place to see some of their traditions. With two royal weddings on the way, I thought it would be interesting to share some royal wedding tradition with you, and tell you which traditions so far we know Meghan Markle and Prince Harry plan not to do, and if Princess Eugenie has a traditional wedding, what she could do. My personal favorite cake flavor is chocolate. But, the British Royal Family's traditional wedding cake flavor is.... Fruit Cake! Yes, it is traditional to serve fruit cake at a royal wedding. Some royals who have followed this tradition are: Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate).
