I have recently Star Wars the Last Jedi. Apparently, Prince William, and the newly engaged Prince Harry have a cameo in Star Wars the Last Jedi! I unfortunately, did not notice any British Royal in the film, but if you do, please tell me!   Happy Birthday Queen Silvia of Sweden! Today is Queen Silvia's 74th birthday. Queen Silvia is married to King Carl XVI Gustaf, and they have 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and a 7th grandchild on the way! The Queen was born in Germany, and lived in Brazil. Scroll down to read post. In the second episode of The Crown season 2, a reporter tries to get an interview with Philip about his past. She tells him about himself, an exiled prince, when his mother was sent to a mental asylum, and when his father left them, pressing Philip for details. What the reporter has told him is all true information. When Philip was young, his family was exiled from is home in Greece. Prince Philip's father did, in fact leave the family, and his mum did get taken to a mental asylum. You can see, from Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip's wedding scene from season 1, (which was so last year) his mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg dressed as a nun. I know that in my welcome post, which you can view here , I made it very clear that I would only be talking about real royals. But, sometimes you have to bend the rules a little. Of course, Star Wars The Last Jedi is coming out very soon, so I have put together a post about two of the most well know royals in Star Wars, Padme and Leia, and some less commonly known Star Wars royals. Padme Amidala, played by Natalie Portman, was elected Queen of Naboo when she was just fourteen years old. To compare her to a real monarch, Queen Elizabeth II became the Queen of England when she was twenty five years old, which is a very young age. Unlike the real life monarchs that you can read about on this blog, Padme was only Queen for a few years, and then becomes a senator for Naboo. Today is Catharina Amalia, Princess of Orange's fourteenth birthday! Princess Catharina Amalia is the heir apparent to the Netherlands throne, the oldest of three sisters. She lives in Netherlands and as I write this it is 1:45 am in the Netherlands, so her birthday celebrations have come to an end, and today (for her, tomorrow for us)  will be her first day of being fourteen!
