Kensington Palace announced today that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child. Congratulations to both of them! I can't wait for another royal baby!
Queen Elizabeth II is not only in love with corgis! If you thought that Queen Elizabeth strictly only owns corgis, you are wrong. But, corgis are the dog of the royal monarchy. In fact, three of her corgis had a part of the opening ceremony at the London Olympics back in 2012. Three other cool facts to know about the Queen's corgis are: Her love of corgis began as a child when her dad, George VI bought the family a corgi named Dookie. Most of her corgis common ancestor is Susan, who was the Queen's eighteenth birthday present. Susan the corgi came with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on their honeymoon. But the Queen does not limit herself to one breed of dogs! She has also owned labradors, a golden retriever, a cocker spaniel , and a shih tzu. The Queen has also been known to breed dorgis, which are a dachshund corgi mix which sound so cute! I got my information from the book Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family
I am super excited, too. But I just heard that she made the announcement at Eugenie's wedding. What do you think of that? It was Eugenie's special day. You know I'm biased because Eugenie is one of my favourite royals (even if I can't pronounce her name).
